This Neighborhood Spotlight is an incredible woman whom we have gotten to know on both a professional and personal level – Irene Freitas of Feng Shui For Your Life!
During our first interaction with Irene we instantly were drawn to her positive energy and inspiring attitude. We initially connected when we had her do some Feng Shui for us in one of our first office spaces with the goal and intention manifesting a new office space. Within a month we were pushing our chairs down the hall into our new beautiful space, thanks to the help of Irene!
After this phenomenal experience, we were lucky enough to attend one of her classes to learn more about Feng Shui and walked away with a greater understanding of the practice, along with some helpful tools. Irene’s teaching style uses a lot of examples and real-life experiences which helped us to better understand some of the basic fundamentals and concepts. Following the class, we motivated enough to head home and apply our learned Feng Shui practices to our homes and new office space!
As our relationship with her has grown, we have been impressed to learn that realized that Irene is more than a Feng Shui Strategist – she is also a certified Reiki Master and Practitioner of Mental Emotional Release. Just as importantly, she is extraordinarily passionate about her work and loves to share the stories of the life improvements her clients see after working with her!
Based on both personal and second-hand experience, we wholeheartedly recommend Irene to our clients and anyone looking for a positive shift in their lives!
- When did you start your Feng Shui practice and what inspired to open your own business?
When I was first introduced to Feng Shui in 2006, I was very stressed at work and felt “lost”. I wanted to know what my purpose was in life. Although I worked most of my life, when my sons started going out on their own, I really felt lost. I was the “super-mom”, had a career, started and sold my business, cared for my sons . . . and when the boys were gone, my life felt empty. Then a friend started telling me about Feng Shui. She made all sorts of suggestions which peaked my interest. I started reading books and came to the conclusion that Feng Shui is very complicated and was something beyond my realm of comprehension. Then, I went into a local bookstore who suggested I read a book, “Move your Stuff, Change your Life”. The owner said she liked it because it was light and fun. Hmmm, what did she mean by that?
The store owner was right! It was fun and light and I started to implement the author’s suggestions, and felt the shifts immediately. Then, within days, my friend/teacher informed me he was having a Feng Shui master teach at his center. I immediately signed up for the workshop. When the teacher started introducing himself, he brought out the book I just finished, “Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life” and said, the author was his student. I then knew I was in the right place.
I started with friends, then referrals. It was still a hobby, until a change in my workforce – or a message from the Universe helped with the decision to make it into a business.
As I started Feng Shui’ing others, I found their reasons for peace, balance, and harmony was not the same as mine. Which excited me, as I catered to their needs, whether it was getting more customers, changing career, improving relationships, and so much more. The space supported their needs.
- What types of services do you offer to your clients?
My feng shui is unique in a way that it not only helps bring balance and harmony to your space, but also allow the space to support your goals and intentions.
I also include cleansing and clearing the space, clearing predecessor energies and other energies, so it is all yours, and setting energetic grids to hold the space.
I also offer energetic cleanse on individuals and spiritual coaching . . . Feng Shui YOU.
- Who is your ideal client? What are they looking for in your services?
The ideal client is someone who may feel their space “just doesn’t feel right”, feeling blocked, not having enough clients/customers, so many factors.
The client is looking for answers and they may have tried everything in their powers to make it right. I offer solutions.
- What is the most rewarding thing about being a Feng Shui practitioner?
The results for my clients – whether it’s gaining recognition, acceptance, to more clients, better tenants, winning a judgment in court. Client feeling her home now feels safe. Seeing how happy my clients are with their results. Things they never anticipated happening, actually did occur for them.
- Do you have any Feng Shui advice that you would like to share with our readers?
Easiest tip – clear the clutter. The clutter could be the very thing that is blocking what you want in life. Honor and trust your instincts – if it doesn’t feel good, know you can change it.
